Discover Thép Thavonsouk, his artistic world and his gallery in Luang Prabang in the video on you tube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVcgg_pO05Y. The exhibition of paintings by Thép Thavonsouk 'Light & Serenity' in BEGRAMOFF gallery will take place from 7 September to 29 October 2015. The opening reception will be held on September 10, 2015, from 18h to 21h in the presence of the artist. The paintings of Thép Thavonsouk are made of light and shadow. They are born of silence and of the look on the clouds, mist, rain, and on the saffron robes of monks in Laos. Tranquillity, peace, serenity are the hallmarks of the work of Thép Thavonsouk. In this dreamlike atmosphere, spirituality is necessary. And it is on canvas or rice paper that light explodes on the vastness of the universe in which human beings dissolve, wandering monks. These paintings take us back to the relativity of human life vis-à-vis the universe and place the core values back in their proper place. Thép Thavonsouk is a painter recognized by the international art world as evidenced by prestigious newspaper articles (e.g. article from the Huffington Post http://www.huffingtonpost.com/sabine-ludwig/thep-thavonsouk-between-s_b_...).
